
Kota Kinabalu: Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution bin Ismail heads the list of 1,013 recipients who were bestowed various honours on the occasion of the 74th birthday of Head of State Tun Musa Aman, Friday.
Saifuddin was conferred the highest State award of Seri Panglima Darjah Kinabalu (SPDK) which carries the title of “Datuk Seri Panglima”.
Three others who would be receiving it at Istana Seri Kinabalu today (Saturday) are State Rural Development Minister Datuk Jahid Jahim, businessman Datuk Lim Yu Ming and Dato’ Ahmad Fuad bin Md Ali.

They included Federal Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Khairul Firdaus bin Akbar Khan, Federal Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Cost of Living Senator Dr Fuziah binti Salleh, Kapayan assemblywoman Jannie Lasimbang, Labuan Member of Parliament Dato’ Indera Suhaili Abdul Rahman, High Court Judge Alexander Siew How Wai, Sabah Health Department Director Dr Maria Suleiman, Sabah Electricity Chief Executive Officer Ir. Ts Mohd Yaakob bin Jaafar, SMJ Energy Sdn Bhd Chief Executive Officer Dr Dionysia binti Aloysius Kibat, former press secretary to the Chief Minister Afeiza Khan, Sabah Parks Chairman Peter Lintar, Sabah Parks Director Dr Maklarin bin Lakim, Sabah Forest Development Authority Chief Executive Officer Bahrul Razha bin Chuprat, Gagasan Rakyat Sabah Women Information Chief Senator Anna Bell@ Suzieana binti Perian, Pantai Manis assemblyman Mohd Tamin Zainal, Amanah Sabah head Lahirul Latigu, Umno Malaysia Women treasurer Maizatul Akmam binti Alawi, Sabah Law Society (SLS) President Mohamed Nazim bin Maduarin, former SLS Chairman Daniel Tan Jwee Peng, Dreamfish Sdn Bhd Managing Director Wong Tet Onn @ Angus and veteran journalist Emin Madi.
Tun Musa also conferred the “Justice of the Peace” (JP) title to 10 recipients that included Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Sabah Director Datuk S. Karunanithy, lawyer Alexander Hugo Malakun, lawyer Josephine Wan-Wen Hadikusumo and Sabah Mineral Management (SMM) Sdn Bhd Chief Executive Officer Natasha Sim Nuo.
Some 181 received the Ahli Darjah Kinabalu (ADK), 248 the Bintang Setia Kinabalu (BSK), 285 the Bintang Kinabalu (BK) and 198 the “Perkhidmatan Terpuji” (SK).
Meanwhile, several media practitioners in Sabah also received State awards.
"The Ahli Setia Darjah Kinabalu (ASDK)" was conferred to See Hua News Chief Reporter Yong Ted Phen, while The Ahli Darjah Kinabalu (ADK) recipients included Daily Express Reporter in Keningau Marutin Ansiung, Borneo Post Chief Reporter Nancy Lai, The Vibes journalist Jason Santos, Malay Mail senior journalist Julia Chan and Astro Awani Broadcaster Assim bin Mohamad Hassan.
Recipients of Bintang Setia Kinabalu were Daily Express Assistant Chief Reporter Larry Ralon, Daily Express Senior Journalist Sherell Ann Jeffrey, OCDN Senior Journalist Gravin Wong, Star reporter Stephanie Lee, Borneo Post Senior Journalist Jenny Lajiun, Sabah Information Department (Japen) Assistant Director (Media and Corporate Communications) Dr Diana Dominic, Japen Sabah photographer Azman Jumat, Sabah Media journalist Normimie Diun, RTM journalist Salmariwaya Sali, and Bernama photographer Zamain Singkui and Astro Awani Broadcaster Assim bin Mohamad Hassan.
