Sam Fender has confirmed that he will embark on a major stadium tour of the UK and Ireland next year, including his biggest headline shows to date at Wembley Stadium.
The North Shields singer-songwriter will play two nights at the London venue on 18 and 20 June next year, along with dates in Cardiff, Edinburgh, Manchester and Newcastle.
The Proper Massive Stadium Tour will also feature stops at Dublin’s Marlay Park and his first European headline slot, at Rock Werchter in Belgium.
Fender first teased the news with a tongue-in-cheek skit in which he and his bandmates dressed up as Lord of the Rings characters and “lit the beacons” at the stadiums he would be performing in.
The news will no doubt further fuel rumours that Fender is set to headline Glastonbury Festival next year, having last performed just before headliner Billie Eilish on the Pyramid Stage in 2022.
A fan pre-sale for the tour is open now, while tickets go on general sale from 9.30am on Friday 30 October.
Support on all UK stadium dates comes from the alt-rock band, Wunderhorse.
Fender also confirmed in the announcement that he is working on a fourth album, with fans who pre-order the record granted pre-sale access for the UK and Ireland dates.
His third album, People Watching, was released last year to critical acclaim; it topped the charts and also won the 2025 Mercury Prize.
Meanwhile, his duet with Olivia Dean, “Rein Me In”, shattered a decades-long record for the longest non-consecutive time spent at Number One in British history, with 23 weeks total.
His tour dates for 2027 are as follows:
3 June – St. James’ Park, Newcastle
5 June – St. James’ Park, Newcastle
10 June – Principality Stadium, Cardiff
18 June – Wembley Stadium, London
20 June - Wembley Stadium, London
1 July – Marlay Park, Dublin
3 July – Rock Werchter, Belgium (festival headline)
8 July – Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh
15 July – Etihad Stadium, Manchester
