- Sam Fender has been forced to postpone the pre-sale for his 2027 Newcastle St James’ Park concerts after ticketing platform Gigantic suffered a “sophisticated bot attack” on Wednesday morning.
- Fender confirmed on Instagram Stories that the Newcastle pre-sale would be rescheduled to 9:30 am on Thursday to allow genuine fans to buy tickets rather than automated bots.
- Outraged fans took to social media to criticise Gigantic for being poorly prepared, ahead of the general ticket sale for the UK and Ireland tour taking place on Friday at 9:30am.
- The ticketing disruption represents another setback for the tour after Fender recently intervened to stop promoters charging up to £130.75 for premium front-standing options.
- Following Fender's intervention, standing tickets across the UK stadium tour were capped at £85 excluding fees, with all standing ticket holders given an equal chance to reach the front of the stage.
