Sampdoria coach Andrea Pirlo admits discussing a move to AC Milan.
Pirlo concedes he spoke to former Milan football chief Paolo Maldini about joining the Rossoneri.
He said, "We talked about it, but it was just a chat between friends. However, it bothered some people that I started my career as Juventus coach without having worked my way up.
"I prefer to let the pitch do the talking.
"Let me be clear, I accept all criticism but not personal attacks. At the beginning I didn't think I wanted to be a coach but then after taking the first courses I changed my mind and decided to undertake this career."
