After accidentally being leaked online a couple weeks ago, the Samsung Galaxy A27 5G is now officially here. As expected, it’s a Snapdragon-powered, budget-friendly smartphone with a triple rear camera setup and a long software support policy.

The Samsung Galaxy A27 5G is now available for purchase from the Samsung Online Store, Samsung Experience Stores, all authorised retailers and from participating eCommerce platforms. Here’s how much it’ll cost:
- Samsung Galaxy A27 5G, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage – RM1,399
- Samsung Galaxy A27 5G, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage – RM1,499
As an added bonus, from now till 21 July you can also get a RM100 discount on the Galaxy A27 5G, meaning you can snag the 256GB model for the price of the 128GB one. That’s on top of a free phone case as well as an extra 10% discount on selected Galaxy accessories such as the Galaxy Buds 4 or Galaxy Tab A11 series.
Samsung Galaxy A27 5G specs
The Samsung Galaxy A27 5G gets a slightly more refined look this time, with an Infinity-O punch hole cutout design instead of its predecessor’s teardrop notch. The chassis itself measures 7.8mm thin and weighs 200g, housing a 6.7-inch, FHD+ Super AMOLED display that’s also capable of an up to 120Hz refresh rate and 800nits of brightness on high brightness mode. You’ll also find a layer of Corning Gorilal Glass Victus+ over it for scratch resistance.
Under the hood, the Galaxy A27 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, a midrange 4nm processor that’s been paired to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage; there’s also support for expandable storage of up to 2TB via microSD. It comes with Android 16 out of the box, skinned with OneUI 8.5 over it, and Samsung is guaranteeing at least six OS and security updates for it too.
As for its cameras, the Galaxy A27 5G comes with a triple rear camera setup on the back, consisting of a main 50MP, f/1.8 camera flanked by a 5MP, f/2.2 ultrawide and a 2MP, f/2.4 macro sensor. Selfies meanwhile are taken care of by a 12MP, f/2.2 front camera in its punch hole cutout.
Keeping the lights on is a 5,000mAh battery which Samsung says is good for up to 23 hours of video playback, as well as support for 25W fast charging. Other features of note include an IP64 dust and water resistance rating as well as a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
