SAMSUNG'S Galaxy S26 series expands the company’s flagship smartphone lineup with an emphasis on artificial intelligence features, camera improvements and privacy controls. The lineup includes the Galaxy S26 Ultra, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26, alongside the new Galaxy Buds4 wireless earbuds.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra sits at the top of the range and introduces a built-in Privacy Display, a feature designed to protect on-screen content from side viewing while keeping the display readable for the user. The system works at the pixel level and combines hardware and software.
Performance is driven by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy, a customized processor that increases CPU, GPU and neural processing unit capacity to support AI-based functions and everyday multitasking.
Samsung also expands its Galaxy AI system with contextual tools that aim to simplify routine tasks. The Now Nudge feature surfaces suggested actions based on user activity, while Now Brief provides reminders for scheduled events. These tools are paired with voice- or button-based AI agents intended to streamline common phone functions.
Camera upgrades remain a central focus. The Galaxy S26 Ultra integrates capture, editing and sharing tools into a single workflow. Video recording includes improved low-light performance through Samsung’s Nightography system, while the Super Steady mode adds a horizontal lock option for stabilization during motion.
On-device editing tools are also more automated. Photo Assist allows users to adjust images through text prompts, and Creative Studio supports quick visual design tasks such as generating stickers or wallpapers.
Complementing the smartphones is the Galaxy Buds4 series, which includes the Buds4 and Buds4 Pro. The earbuds introduce a blade-style form factor and a pinch-control interface built into the stem. Samsung says the fit was designed using large datasets of ear measurements and simulation models.
Audio hardware in the Buds4 Pro includes a larger woofer, along with Adaptive Equalizer tuning and active noise cancellation designed to improve overall sound balance.
Together, the Galaxy S26 smartphones and Buds4 earbuds reflect Samsung’s continued integration of AI features into mobile hardware while expanding device privacy and media capabilities.
