Samsung just kicked off the rollout of One UI 8, and this update will be bringing all the things the Korean giant has hyped up so far – polished interface, smarter Galaxy AI features, deeper personalization, and stronger security.

At its core, One UI 8 is designed to understand what you need before you even think about it. It recognizes your context and routines to offer proactive suggestions, whether that’s pulling up reminders, recommending music, or even highlighting moments from your day.

For instance, the new Now Bar now shows real-time app activity and media controls right on the Z Flip’s FlexWindow, and it now works with more third-party apps. Then there’s Now Brief, which acts like your personal dashboard with traffic updates, reminders, and even Galaxy Watch health insights. Samsung Moments adds a reflective touch, curating highlights from your daily routine.

On the other hand, Gemini Live lets you chat naturally with an AI that understands what you’re seeing in real-time, while Circle to Search has been supercharged to help with gaming strategies, character lookups, and instant translations of on-screen text.

The update also brings some thoughtful touches to Galaxy’s unique form factors. On large screens, AI Results View keeps your workspace uncluttered by showing AI outputs in split or floating windows, while tools like Drawing Assist and Writing Assist streamline creativity. The Z Flip’s FlexWindow now gets Gemini Live voice search, plus new customization options like adaptive clocks and curated wallpapers.

For creators, there’s Audio Eraser to remove unwanted background noise, Portrait Studio for generating artsy pet portraits, and Call Captions that convert voices into text instantly during calls. Interpreter mode also steps things up by translating ideas as you type.

Lastly, in the security department, the new KEEP (Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection) creates encrypted storage zones for apps, ensuring they only access their own data. Meanwhile, Knox Matrix goes further by logging you out across devices if a serious risk is detected, while upgraded Secure Wi-Fi with post-quantum cryptography keeps you safe on public networks.
