Samsung Malaysia has announced that the stable One UI 8.5 rollout is now live in Malaysia, having been in beta for five months now. They bring plenty of new features previously only on the latest Galaxy S26 series to a bunch of older devices.
Devices that can now get the One UI 8.5 update include:
- Galaxy S25 series
- Galaxy S25 FE
- Galaxy S24 series
- Galaxy S24 FE
- Galaxy Z Fold 7
- Galaxy Z Flip 7
- Galaxy Z Fold 6
- Galaxy Z Flip 6
- Galaxy Tab S11 series
- Galaxy Tab S10 series
One UI 8.5 brings a number of new features for you to try out. These include a more customisable Quick Panel, wireless file sharing with Apple devices through AirDrop support via QuickShare, an enhanced Bixby, more lock screen customisations, cross-device file access with Storage Share, persistent DeX window layouts, partial screen recording and a more capable built-in document scanner.
To enjoy these features, you can head over to the Settings app in your Samsung device and check for updates there. If it doesn’t show up for you just yet, you can try again in a couple of days.
