SANDAKAN: A nine-year-old boy died after being attacked by a crocodile in Kampung Lembaga Batu 8 on Sunday.

It is understood that the victim, identified as Mohd Radhi Randi, was bathing in the village river before being attacked by the crocodile.

The Sandakan Fire and Rescue Station personnel rushed to the scene immediately after receiving an emergency call at 12.16pm.

Sandakan Fire Station Chief Severinus Nidzam Sainkui said the victim was found at 3.05pm by villagers, 500 metres from the location where the crocodile attacked.
