SANDAKAN: The Sandakan Municipal Council (MPS) is taking step to upgrade the status of the district to a city.
Deputy Chief Minister II cum Local Government and Housing Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam, said the government wants to see MPS is able to provide concrete evidence that it is capable of becoming a city.
“In theory, MPS has the ability to be a city and we believe MPS is also working hard to realise this aspiration.
