SANDAKAN: Efforts to upgrade markets across Sandakan are underway with local authorities focusing on addressing infrastructure issues and improving facilities, said Deputy Chief Minister II, Datuk Seri Dr. Joachim Gunsalam.
The Minister of Housing and Local Government also emphasised that the Sandakan Municipal Council (MPS) is working diligently to identify and implement necessary improvements for markets in the area.
Advertisement“We are reviewing all markets in Sandakan to determine the repairs required. Together with MPS, we are working hard to ensure these upgrades are carried out effectively,” he said.
Joachim, who is also the Acting President of PBS, said this when met by the press after the party's Chinese New Year walkabout session held in several markets in Sandakan, Saturday.
