MANILA, Philippines — The Sandiganbayan Third Division will hear on Thursday former speaker Martin Romualdez’s motion to remain in hospital under court custody.
Third Division Clerk of Court Dennis Pulma told The Manila Times that the hearing on Romualdez’s Manifestation of Hospital Confinement and Urgent Motion Ad Cautelam for Continued Hospital Confinement Under Custody will be held at 8:30 a.m. on September 10.
“[T]he court directed the issuance of subpoena to the attending physicians,” Pulma said.
Their appearance will allow the court to hear directly from Romualdez’s doctors as it considers his request for continued hospital confinement.
Romualdez is confined at the Cardinal Santos Medical Center.
