Was the arrest of Kedah MB Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor retribution or payback time?
Did he not lodge a police report to arrest a 61-year-old man at 3 am two years ago?
You made history by making that arrest, and now history repeats in your case, Tuan Sanusi.
THE GOLDEN RULE: Don't do unto others what you don't want others to do unto you. Be careful how you mess with others. The thinking is that if you put good into the world, good comes back to you. If you choose to harm, you can't cheat karma.
On August 9, 2021:
Under the Perikatan Nasional Government, four people were arrested for allegedly insulting Sanusi.
According to the video, four individuals were arrested for allegedly insulting Kedah Menteri Besar.
The police action was after a special officer to Sanusi lodged multiple reports against Malaysians who, on social media, commented on Sanusi’s remarks.
Then, Bernama reported Kuala Muda district police chief ACP Adzli Abu Shah saying the 61-year-old man was detained at his house in Lenggeng, Negeri Sembilan, at around 3 am on August 9, 2021.
"In the raid, police seized a mobile phone belonging to the man," Malaysiakini quoted Adzli as saying, who added that police had tracked down the senior citizen to his home in Lenggeng.
He was brought to Sungai Petani to be remanded how. However, a magistrate did not allow the remand application, and he was released on police bail after his statement was taken.
Three days ago, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain clarified that the arrest of caretaker Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor was the result of the police's inability to contact the Pas leader before his court hearing.
Razarudin said Muhammad Sanusi was arrested because he was involved in an investigation under the Sedition Act, and the investigation found that the matter has a tendency of hatred and contempt related to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and the Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.
A social media posting video showed Sanusi running down the Government and saying it uses police force if anyone speaks up. It was followed by a commentary by a youth questioning Sanusi: “Did you not make a police report on four people who got arrested because you made a police report?”
For the answer, please look at this article's Golden Rule cited in the beginning. We are all equal before the law—no one rule for MB, another ruling for the people. Tuan Yang Berhormat MB, you seem to be distressed by the “ban” imposed on “3R” (Race, Religion, Royalty) conversation topics. It’s time to check your conscience. Don’t be branded as a loose canon or an empty vessel. The lesson learned here is to listen more and talk less as a leader whom the people can trust and respect.
