Sao Paulo are demanding Manchester United pay them a €17m instalment for the summer transfer of Antony.

And the Brazilians are insisting the payment be made within the 'next couple of weeks'.

United signed the Brazilian from Ajax on transfer deadline day for an eye-watering £85.1million fee. As part of the deal, Sao Paulo - Antony's first club - are owed a fee, as they agreed a sell-on clause with Ajax when the latter signed him back in 2020.

United are believed to be paying the fee in instalments to Ajax, but Sao Paulo are reportedly getting itchy feet and want their first payment sooner rather than later. It is claimed that they want €17million by the start of October, reports local journalist Jorge Nicola.
