
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Ports Sdn Bhd (SPSB) General Manager Siti Noraishah Azizan (pic) said the Sapangar Bay Container Port (SBCP) aims to be Malaysia’s first semi-automation port with its end-fit vertical yard to enhance terminal operating system with state-of-the-art cargo handling equipment enabling employee multitasking.
She stressed that the focus is on improvement initiatives, such as increasing port capacity and efficiency with its expansion to be realised by 2025.
“The introduction of automation of container transfer will improve port operation efficiency,” she said.
