Kota Kinabalu: Datuk Sapawi Ahmad was elected as the new United Sabah Islamic Association (Usia) President for the 2022-2024 term during the association’s 35th general meeting at Menara Usia at 1Borneo, Saturday.
The former Sipitang Member of Parliament obtained 135 votes and defeated his two challengers, Datuk Mohammad Yusof Apdal who obtained 126 votes and incumbent Datuk Sairin Karno who obtained 50 votes.
