Sarah Hadland danced a moving tribute to Dame Maggie Smith on Saturday’s (5 October) Strictly Come Dancing following the Harry Potter actor’s death aged 89.
The Miranda star and her professional partner Vito Coppola performed a Viennese Waltz to John Williams’ “Hedwig’s Theme” from the film series.
Hadland’s dance scored 33 and was praised by judge Motsi Mabuse as the “highlight of the night.”
Dame Maggie died in hospital on 27 September surrounded by family and friends, her children said in a statement thanking medical staff for their “unstinting kindness during her final days.”
