KUCHING: The Borneo Cultures Museum is Sarawak’s latest attraction, walking distance from the popular riverside waterfront.
The aim to preserve Sarawak’s diverse cultural heritage through the museum became a reality when the various ethnic groups gathered to showcase their traditions for future references.
For the Iban community, their century-old heirlooms such as Pekit Nganyam (woven with natural material), Pekit Nenun (weaving textile) and Pekit Nusuk Marik (beads with traditional seeds), to name a few are displayed to be remembered for as long as the community exists.
