Datuk Seri Saripuddin Kasim has stepped down as chairman of MRT Corp to pursue other interests, effective March 1, 2026.

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Saripuddin Kasim has resigned as chairman of Malaysia Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp).

His resignation is effective March 1, 2026, as he pursues other interests.

In a statement, MRT Corp expressed gratitude for Saripuddin’s leadership and guidance during his tenure.

The corporation wished him “the very best in his future endeavours.”

Saripuddin was appointed as MRT Corp chairman on Nov 19, 2025.
