Satellite imagery shows Caracas neighbourhoods before and after Donald Trump launched strikes on the Venezuelan capital.

On Saturday (2 January), an overnight American military operation saw a “large-scale strike” launched against the nation, whilst president Nicolas Maduro was also deposed and captured, alongside his wife Cilia Flores.

Images provided by Vantor showcase the damage inflicted by the action, with shots of the Miraflores presidential palace and the Fuerte Tiuna neighbourhood.

Maduro has since arrived in New York at a detention facility where he will await his first court appearance on US criminal charges.
