MANILA, Philippines — Typhoon Saudel can turn into a super typhoon before its expected entry on Monday into the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
"Based on the latest forecast track of Typhoon Saudel, we expect its entry into our PAR tomorrow morning or afternoon," weather specialist Charmagne Varilla said on Sunday.
"It is possible that it will further intensify and strengthen and can reach super typhoon category before it enters our PAR," Varilla said.
She added that the typhoon could exit on Tuesday but it can turn back while moving along the northern part of the country.
Varilla said the typhoon is expected to intensify the southwest monsoon.
