Saudi Arabia's Al-Kawkab FC insist they're not involved in the pursuit of unsettled Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo.

It emerged this week that an unnamed Saudi club had offered Ronaldo a two-year contract worth €250m to leave Old Trafford for the Middle East this summer.

Speculation had suggested Al-Kawkab FC were involved, but they have since released a statement to deny the claims.

On social media, the Saudis declared: "Official announcement: Portuguese player Cristiano Ronaldo and Al-Kawkab's relationship rumours are not true.

"The player is absolutely not included in the plans of the club."
