Saudi Arabia reported fresh drone attacks on Sunday, saying three unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted and destroyed after entering its airspace from Iraq.
The drones were shot down on Sunday morning, the Defence Ministry said in a statement on X. Saudi Arabia reserved the right to respond at a time and place of its choosing, it added.
The United Arab Emirates had earlier reported a drone attack on the Barakah nuclear power plant west of Abu Dhabi.
The UAE Defence Ministry later said three drones approaching from the west had entered the country's airspace. Two were intercepted, while a third struck a power generator outside the plant's inner security perimeter.
Investigations into where the drones came from are ongoing, the ministry said.
During the Iran war, Iranian forces responded to attacks by the United States and Israel with missile and drone strikes on targets in Israel and across the Gulf region.
A ceasefire in the conflict has been in place since early April and was most recently extended unilaterally by US President Donald Trump. However, regional tensions have repeatedly tested the truce.
In addition to Iran, Tehran-allied militias in Iraq have also carried out attacks.
