Saudi Pro League chief Carlo Nohra has confirmed reports of plans to enter the UEFA Champions League.
However, Nohra also states that they are 'fully committed' to the AFC Champions League.
UEFA already has several non-EU countries as members. Among others Kazakhstan, which became a member in 2002. Kazakhstan clubs also compete in the AFC Champions League,
Nohra, who is the COO of the Saudi Pro League, stated to Bloomberg: "We are trying to be different.
"So any change or improvement that can be introduced to the league will be welcome."
