Former Manchester City and Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel says Erling Haaland is a mix of the game's greatest strikers.

City ace Haaland is being celebrated after his hat-trick in victory over United yesterday.

"I played against some of the best strikers and when they disappear is when you really have to concentrate. The Cristiano Ronaldos and Filippo Inzaghis of this world - they disappear and then all of a sudden they get the chance," Schmeichel told BBC Sport.

"When you look at Haaland, you see different players. You have that Zlatan-like goal sense and you see a bit of Cristiano Ronaldo there too. You see several top players in one and the same player. That's why he's so dangerous. He has had the luxury of seeing many top strikers and they all come together in one player."

Haaland has managed to score 17 goals and three assists in eleven competitive matches for Manchester City this season.
