Benfica coach Roger Schmidt says they'll be fine after the sale of Enzo Fernandez to Chelsea.
As the two boards were haggling over Fernandez's 120m fee, Benfica were defeating Arouca last night without the Argentina midfielder.
Schmidt later said: "The deal is closed and I don't want to talk about players who are no longer at the club. I appreciate the players who want to be at Benfica. Benfica is a great club and we enjoy being here.
"Enzo is the past. It is always difficult to lose a good player in the January window, but today we showed that we can play good football without him.
"Benfica is much bigger than one player and we need passionate players. A club paid his release clause, and we have to accept that."
