I am an alumnus of the prestigious Asian Institute of Management (AIM) in Manila. The SEELL is part of AIM that provides executive education programs designed to align with the core priorities and transformation agendas to government agencies and specific industries. In the past years, many organizations from the public and private sectors including universities in Malaysia and ASEAN region had regularly participated in SEELL programs, especially in its Management Development Program. I understand rather than relying on one-size-fits-all training, SEELL utilizes a Competency Needs Analysis, project-based & the Case Method to adapt business frameworks capitalizing its innovative flagship solutions directly to real-world global, regional & domestic market demands.

As such, I was indeed fortunate with the opportunity to meet with Jared Kaine O. Serzo, Business Development Manager of SEELL and his best half, Angela ‘Lala’ Singian-Serzo, Editorial Producer - Lifestyle, when they visited KL recently. I learned from Jared that SEELL collaborates with major trading groups, such as the Straits Financial Group to create dedicated pipelines for future financial leaders. Its local government unit (LGU) programs and strengthening local enterprises tailored heavily toward operational resilience, strategic scaling, governance, integrity & regulatory compliance.

We also talked about the 49th ASEAN Summit would be held from 16-18 November 2026, in Metro Manila, Philippines (as the host country) with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr as the Chair. The theme “Navigating Our Future, Together” focusing on Peace, Prosperity & People Empowerment. The main highlight is on “Digital Economy: Advancing negotiations for the ASEAN Digital Economy Framework Agreement (DEPA), and trade developments targeting on US$2 trillion digital economy by 2030”. Other agenda is energy grid. The Malacanang has confirmed that US President Donald Trump will attend the summit before flying to Shenzhen, China, for APEC. Heads of state and government from ASEAN states and partner countries are scheduled to participate.
