
Kota Kinabalu: A schoolgirl died after her cousin lost control and crashed the motorcycle they were riding near Kg. Lokub along Jalan Sepanggar, here, Monday.
Police said the 17-year-old pillion rider was confirmed dead at approximately 12.36am today while receiving treatment at the Women and Children's Hospital, here.
Her cousin, meanwhile, was transferred to Queen Elizabeth Hospital at approximately 6.29am.
Police said they did not suspect driving while intoxicated but testing will be done nevertheless in what police said to be a driver negligence case.
