HIGHER education stakeholders should discuss the use of artificial intelligence among students, Solid North Party-list Rep. Ching Bernos said Monday.
“To ban or not to ban AI use in our schools is the burning question that we must answer soon,” Bernos said.
Her call came after the University of the Philippines College of Law announced a new AI policy, citing a considerable decline in the quality of arguments and discourse among students and concerns from employers over graduates becoming AI-dependent.
Bernos said AI is here to stay and schools should prepare students for a technology-driven future while preserving the academic rigor of higher education.
