Rufus Sewell has revealed he “obsessively” watched Prince Andrew’s infamous Newsnight interview to prepare for his Scoop role.
The actor, 56, portrays the royal in the upcoming Netflix drama, which focuses on how the BBC programme secured the 2019 interview about Andrew’s friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
“I really obsessively watched that interview,” Sewell told Good Morning Britain on Wednesday 27 March.
“I spent hours and hours every day trying to work out what he was thinking. When there was a hesitation, a stutter, or a particular movement of the head, what was behind it?”
