OSAKA: Security guards at the Osaka-Kansai Expo’s Japan Pavilion are going viral for wearing futuristic head-mounted displays (HMDs) resembling the "scouters" from Dragon Ball.
Developed by Tokyo-based Teikei Co., the HMDs provide real-time visual and textual updates from the pavilion’s disaster prevention centre, including VIP arrival times and facial recognition of dignitaries or suspicious individuals.
Chest-mounted cameras on guards send live video to the control centre for monitoring.

The Japan Pavilion will host foreign dignitaries, with the HMDs making their debut at the Expo.
