Manchester United midfielder Fred believes that a delayed preseason disrupted his momentum going into the new campaign.
The Brazilian midfielder got some time off from United's pre-season excursions to get married.
It meant that he missed the first few games of the season and has only recently found his way back into the first team.
While Fred knows there is much room for improvement in his and the team's performances, he believes he can have a better campaign than last season.
Fred told Esporte Interativo: "I started later than most of the squad so they were ahead of me.
"Now I'm feeling way better and more settled. I'm sure this season will be better for me and for United."
