ZAMBOANGA CITY: The tightening of Malaysia’s sea borders with Southern Philippines appears less than desired with yet another shipment of illegal cigarettes from Sabah worth more than RM800,000 seized by the Bureau of Customs (BoC) and police.
The assorted contraband fags worth 1.1 million pesos were intercepted by the local authorities near Manilapa Island last Saturday.
Area Police Command-Western Mindanao Operations Chief Col Richard Verceles said the shipment was intercepted around 9.30am.
