
Tenom: The search and rescue (SAR) operation for a 60-year-old man feared missing on Sunday in the forest of Kampung Baru Jumpa Jalan Kemabong here continued on Monday.
Senior Operations Officer of the District Fire and Rescue Station, Mudi Pengiran on Monday said the SAR started at 10.32am with other the Police, Civil Defence Force (APM) and the public.
He said the Fire and Rescue Department’s Sabah Operations Centre received an emergency call via the MERS999 line on Sunday at 10.36 pm that victim was feared missing in the forest.
“A complainant from the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) said the victim went out to the farm on Friday morning (Aug 16) and has not returned home yet,” he said.
