A 2-year-old boy is among the four people who were injured in a mass shooting that took place at a popular Seattle food festival Sunday.
Gunfire rang out at the annual Bite of Seattle event around 6 p.m. local time, sending crowds of people running for safety. At least three people were killed in the shooting – two were declared deceased at the scene while another succumbed to their injuries at a local hospital.
Police have apprehended one suspect, who surrendered at the scene, and are currently searching for a second, Assistant Police Chief Tyrone Davis said.
“There were two people who we believe were shooting at each other,” he said.
As of Monday morning, two adults who were rushed to Harborview Medical Center with injuries had been discharged while the 2-year-old was in ‘satisfactory’ condition and still being cared for, Harborview Medical Center spokesperson Susan Gregg told The Seattle Times.
No details have yet been released about those involved in the attack.

Three adults injured have been discharged from hospital

A 27-year-old man who was taken to the University of Washington Medical Center Montlake was also discharged as of Monday morning.
Seattle mayor condemns ‘horrific violence’
