Kota Kinabalu: Security forces and election officials are only carrying out their duties to ensure that the 15th General Election (GE15) runs smoothly and safely.
On the other hand, there are opposition parties who deliberately play up the issue of allegedly being given bad treatment to the point of threatening action if they become the government after this.
Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for the Sepanggar parliamentary seat, Datuk Yakub Khan, urged candidates contesting in the election this time to respect all authority figures.
“In the campaign series a few days ago, there were parties who voiced dissatisfaction with the security forces and officers.
“In fact, the party in question had warned that they would take action if they won and were appointed ministers,” he said at the GE15 campaign at Kampung Warisan, here, on Wednesday.
