SANDAKAN: A security guard was charged at the Magistrate’s Court here today for the murder of his mother-in-law early this month.
No plea was recorded from Totoh Amin, 31, as murder cases fall under the jurisdiction of the High Court, and he was not offered bail as the offence is non-bailable.
Totoh is accused of murdering Norina Sapuri, 58, on March 2 this year, between 9am and 4.40pm, at Bukit Batu ½ here.
The case, framed under Section 302 of the Penal Code, will be mentioned again on April 10, pending post-mortem and forensic reports, with prosecution conducted by ASP Zamri Zakaria, while Totoh was unrepresented.
