
Kuala Lumpur: A 73-year-old security guard was killed when a retaining wall at Wisma YPR on Jalan Syed Putra here collapsed last night.
The man’s body was found in the rubble early this morning, said Kuala Lumpur fire and rescue senior superintendent Mohd Rizuan Razali.
He said the department received a distress call just before 1am today and deployed 41 personnel from the Hang Tuah and Seputeh fire and rescue stations to the scene.
The guard’s body was retrieved from the rubble at about 6.30am and taken to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital for an autopsy.
