Directed by Jo Eun-sol, the romantic series is based on McQueen Studio’s Kakao webtoon Back to Work!. The series follows office worker Cha Ji-yoon, whose life changes after she crosses paths with her new team leader, Kang Si-woo.

Yes, they do. Despite the obstacles they face at work and in their personal lives, Ji-yoon and Si-woo end up together.
After their relationship becomes public, the couple face office rumours accusing Si-woo of favouritism, causing Ji-yoon to lose the promotion she had earned. Believing the company’s politics prevent him from protecting both his team and Ji-yoon, Si-woo resigns after completing the Home AI project.
Over the following months, he helps at Ji-yoon’s father’s repair shop and gradually earns the trust of her parents, who had initially opposed their relationship because of his divorce and resignation. Six months later, Si-woo launches his own startup, while Ji-yoon finally becomes a manager and leads her own task force.
In the final scene of the 2026 K-drama, the couple meets on a bridge after work. As Si-woo prepares to propose, Ji-yoon surprises him by taking out a ring of her own. They exchange rings, walk home hand in hand and embrace their future together.

The finale resolves the remaining storylines while bringing an end to the toxic workplace culture at Saeum Electronics.
After publicly defending herself against allegations of favouritism, Ji-yoon exposes her former manager’s misconduct. Inspired by her courage, No-ah and other employees file complaints against him, leading to an HR investigation and his eventual dismissal.
No-ah also receives the opportunity to work in Senegal. Although Lee Jae-in initially ends their relationship because he fears a long-distance romance, he later changes his mind and chooses to support her dream. The ending of the Korean drama confirms that the couple remains together, with Jae-in accompanying No-ah as she leaves for Senegal.
