See You at Work Tomorrow! K-drama episode 1 and 2 recap: Ji-yoon faces burnout and meets Kang Si-woo
Episode 1 of the 2026 K-drama follows Ji-yoon, a seventh-year employee at Saeum Electronics who continues showing up to work despite feeling exhausted by both her job and her personal life. Eight months after being ghosted by her boyfriend Cho Ga-eul, she remains stuck in a routine of office stress, workplace politics and disappointment.
Things become more complicated with the arrival of Kang Si-woo, a highly respected executive known throughout the company as the “three-no man” because of his reputation for having no smile, no social life and no apologies. Their first meeting takes place at a factory where production problems involving a new refrigerator project create tension between management and workers.
While Ji-yoon argues that production should continue while solutions are developed, Si-woo insists that the root problem must be solved first. The disagreement immediately highlights their contrasting approaches to work. Despite his cold reputation, Si-woo quietly begins taking an interest in Ji-yoon after noticing her ideas and dedication.
Outside the office, Ji-yoon struggles with blind dates arranged by her mother and lingering feelings connected to Ga-eul. A misunderstanding surrounding a colleague’s wedding eventually brings her and Si-woo together for drinks, where they begin opening up about their frustrations with work and relationships.
See You at Work Tomorrow! K-drama episode 1 and 2 recap: Si-woo’s support gives Ji-yoon a new direction
As rumours spread around the office following their night out, Ji-yoon becomes increasingly embarrassed and tries to avoid Si-woo. However, he continues seeking opportunities to speak with her and eventually reveals that he wants her to join a special task force focused on reviving the stalled refrigerator project.
Although Ji-yoon initially mistakes his interest for a romantic confession, she soon learns that Si-woo values her professional abilities and believes she has untapped potential. Even so, she hesitates to accept his offer because she fears failure and remains emotionally exhausted from both work and her past relationship.
Meanwhile, Ga-eul unexpectedly returns after months of silence and asks for another chance. This time, Ji-yoon refuses to reopen the relationship, choosing instead to prioritise herself and move forward.
At work, tensions escalate when Senior Manager Go publicly berates a junior employee. Unable to remain silent any longer, Ji-yoon finally stands up against the toxic behaviour. Around the same time, Si-woo shares his own experiences with workplace retaliation and reveals that he has been observing Ji-yoon’s efforts since her early days at the company.
The turning point comes when Ji-yoon discovers detailed comments and encouragement that Si-woo has written in her notebook after reviewing her ideas. Realising that someone genuinely recognises her talent without taking credit for it, she abandons her resignation plans and decides to accept his invitation to join the task force.
Episode 2 of the romantic Korean drama ends with Ji-yoon officially choosing a new challenge over quitting, while Si-woo’s reaction hints that their professional partnership may soon evolve into something more.
