Episode 5 of the 2026 K-drama begins with Ji-yoon becoming distracted after seeing Si-woo spend time with his former girlfriend. Unable to stop wondering whether they still have unresolved feelings, she agrees to join a blind date in an effort to move forward.

Elsewhere, Si-woo makes an unexpected discovery when he learns that Ji-yoon had gone out of her way to help clear the rumours that had damaged his reputation within the company. Her selfless gesture leaves a lasting impression on him.

Before long, Ji-yoon receives news that changes everything. She discovers Si-woo plans to relocate to the United States after wrapping up the current project. Having already experienced painful heartbreak, she decides it would be easier to leave his team now rather than watch him disappear from her life later.

After hearing about her blind date, Si-woo heads to the venue to speak with her. During their conversation, Ji-yoon announces that she intends to withdraw from the task force. Although he encourages her to reconsider, she refuses to explain her true reasons.

Trying to avoid making matters worse, Si-woo insists that his concern for her comes from seeing her as someone like a younger sister. Instead of easing the situation, his explanation convinces Ji-yoon that putting distance between them is the only sensible option.

See You at Work Tomorrow! episode 5 and 6 recap: Si-woo chooses love over leaving

During the team’s retreat, Ji-yoon can no longer hide the truth. She finally admits that the thought of Si-woo leaving Korea is what drove her decision to leave the task force. Rather than experience another painful goodbye, she wanted to walk away before becoming even more attached.

Her confession makes Si-woo realise that he has completely misunderstood her feelings. The next day, he informs his superior that he no longer intends to move back to the United States, choosing to remain in Korea instead.

Meanwhile, Ji-yoon focuses all of her energy on work, believing she should not influence Si-woo’s future. However, an unexpected accident leaves her locked inside one of the company’s production rooms after everyone else has left for the day.

Unable to reach her after her phone battery dies, Si-woo frantically searches the office until he finally finds her. Relieved that she is safe, he openly admits how frightened he had been. When Ji-yoon playfully asks whether his concern is simply because he views her as a younger sister, Si-woo finally reveals that his feelings are romantic and that he wants her by his side.

Episode 6 of the Korean drama concludes at Ji-yoon’s father’s repair shop, where she discovers that Si-woo has quietly been restoring old electronics as a hobby. Encouraged by his decision to stay in Korea, Ji-yoon asks if he will remain with her instead of leaving overseas. After Si-woo promises that he will, she responds by confessing her love and sharing a heartfelt kiss that marks the beginning of their relationship.
