The nickname ‘Pepsi’ has always been associated by watch enthusiasts on watches with a red and blue bezel, be it a diver or a GMT. This started from iconic vintage GMT watches and eventually to the more affordable Seiko SKX009 diver. Well, yesterday Seiko 5 claimed the Pepsi title with an official collaboration with Pepsi themselves!

Details on the new Seiko 5 X Pepsi limited edition watches

The Seiko 5 Sports Collection will be releasing two new models in collaboration with Pepsi limited to 7,000 pieces each. The first is the SSK047 ‘office GMT’ and the second is the SRPL99 mid-size diver.

The SSK047 embodies the look of a vintage Pepsi can with black PVD coating and a branded rubber strap. This makes it the first Seiko 5 GMT with a rubber strap . The classic Pepsi logo is embossed on the strap, on top the six 0′ clock marker, and behind the display case back. It will use the 4R34 movement found in the other Seiko 5 GMT models, which features an independent GMT hand. Important to note that the movement is not a ‘true GMT’ as the hour hand cannot jump.

Meanwhile, the SRPL99 takes cues from the 1990s Pepsi logo with a white dial and red and blue bezel. The 1990’s Pepsi logo is found above the six o’ clock marker and the display case back. Housing the reliable 4R36 movement found in the dive-style Seiko 5 Sport’s Collection, this watch has a 41-hour power reserve and a day-date wheel. This compact diver will be a hit for small to average sized wrists.

To add to the cool factor, the two watches will be packaged in Pepsi can inspired containers and feature case back’s with unique serial numbers. If you’re looking to own a piece of watch history or get an actual Seiko Pepsi watch, your time has come.

Both models will be released on September 2025.
