SHAH ALAM, Oct 5 — The Selangor administration hopes that the Budget 2025, to be tabled by the Federal government, will provide a boost in allocations for the empowerment of the electrical and electronics (E&E) industry, flood mitigation, and logistics in the state.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said the financial impetus is necessary, in line with the aggressive measures taken by his administration in developing the semiconductor industry in Selangor.

He said the state government is also focusing on completing and upgrading flood mitigation projects, specifically from the Hulu Langat district to Sepang.

“The same goes for the rejuvenation or redevelopment project of Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang, which I believe can aid in developing the state.

“Additionally, we are seeking funds to upgrade federal roads such as Jalan Pelabuhan Klang, Meru, and others, which have been longstanding issues,” he said after the Foreign Nationals Integrated Operation led by the Immigration Department in Taman Sri Muda today.

Previously, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was reported to have said that Budget 2025, to be tabled on October 18, is aimed at raising the people’s living standards and advancing the country’s development.
