Selangor’s RM5 million study grant offers RM1,000 aid to first-year students, with applications open online until April 14.

SHAH ALAM: The Selangor government has reopened applications for its Higher Education Institution (IPT) Study Grant, with a deadline of April 14.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari announced the initiative, which offers a RM1,000 aid to first-year students from Selangor pursuing recognised courses from Level 4 Skills Certificates to Bachelor’s Degrees.

He stated that the state government has allocated RM5 million for the grant this year, an increase from the previous RM3 million allocation.

“Hopefully, it can help them to study without any worries, insya-Allah,” Amirudin said in a Facebook post.

Applications can be submitted online via the official state portal before the closing date.
