SHAH ALAM, Dec 6 — The Selangor Zakat Board (LZS) invites the public to its month-long 30 Years Pearl Jubilee Exhibition at Raja Tun Uda Library here.
Held from 10am to 6pm throughout December, LZS chief executive officer Mohd Sabirin Mohd Sarbini said the exhibition is a platform to centre the board’s 30-year journey in serving the people.
He said LZS aims to draw 20,000 visitors to the exhibition, which brings awareness to the importance of tithe-paying as a catalyst of ummah development.

“This exhibition is for us to share LZS’ evolution and journey from its early days of only one branch until today with its 18 branches and 650 employees.
“It also features LZS’ growth in distributing tithe collected in its first year in 1994, which amounted to only RM16 million, to over RM1 billion from 2022 to today.
“We urge the public, agencies, schools and state government subsidiaries to come and see for themselves LZS’ evolution from its first days until its presence now as a 30-year firm,” he said at the launch of the LZS 30 Years Pearl Jubilee Exhibition, which was officiated by LZS board of trustees member Raja Tan Sri Arshad Raja Tun Uda.

Many exciting activities are scheduled throughout the exhibition, including an information booth on LZS services, an interactive quiz, a colouring contest, and the Start With Sepuluh programme.
The event, held in collaboration with the Selangor Public Library Corporation, will also feature a storytelling session to raise awareness on the importance of tithe.
