Any attempt to sabotage the Government’s reforms for the progress and unity of various races must be rejected outright by Malaysians.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim must focus on a stable, strong government to put Malaysia back on the right track towards economic recovery for the people’s well-being and the nation’s prosperity.
A Senior lawyer Kandiah Chelliah said: “It’s time to stop selfish, greedy, corrupt politicians who keep politicking to split the nation. Apparently, a plot to unseat Anwar Ibrahim could involve forcing by-elections. Barisan Nasional (BN) MPs are being wooed by certain key individuals and persuaded to take part in a “do-or-die mission” to quit their party and sacrifice their seats, after which they would seek re-election under the opposition banner.
“There is no proper source to this news. The rumour mill would continue to churn over purported attempts to remove PM Anwar Ibrahim five months after the formation of the unity government. All rumours are that a fresh plot to unseat the prime minister could involve forcing by-elections. Under the current anti-party hopping law, any MP who resigns or ceases to be a party member will lose their seat in the Dewan Rakyat, triggering a by-election.”
Kandiah added that this is all speculative talk by PN/PAS combo. The opposition leader has been charged in court, and he could be plotting to get over more MPs to his camp. The feeling on the ground is that corruption has become so widespread that it has become deeply entrenched in our culture. It is eating us up from within. People must decisively reject corruption among politicians,” added Kandiah.
Dr. G. Raju, a freelance Energy Adviser and a former Senior Research Officer from the National Electricity Board (TNB now) said: “Politicians will disrupt, Malaysia’s goal of achieving the status of a Developed Nation. The Nation’s economic growth and prosperity would be delayed.”

Raju, former Associate Professor of the University of Technology Malaysia and ex-Technical Adviser, Malaysia Energy Center, said, “Politicians do not fall from the sky. We, the citizens, are the people who put them in power. If we put in garbage, the output will also be garbage. Malaysia Madani is a policy framework introduced by PM Anwar to focus on good governance, racial harmony, unity amongst diversity and sustainable development towards achieving the status of a Developed Nation.”
Politics of good governance, he added, is to do good for the country and its people. Towards this end, the undivided support of the politicians and people from all walks of life is a prerequisite to achieving a Developed Nation's goal. Politicians must sincerely serve the people. They should not be crafty nor cunningly selfish.
