MANDAUE CITY — Senator Imee Marcos described her relationship with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. as “non-existent,” while raising concerns about his health and calling for transparency from Malacañang.

At a press conference in Mandaue City on Saturday, Marcos said she has not seen the President for over a year and has largely stayed away from family gatherings.

“At this point, of course, mahal ko siya, kapatid ko, pero (I love him, he’s my brother, but) I haven’t seen him perhaps over a year now, and I don’t really go to the reunions. It’s not comfortable, and I prefer my kids go if they want to go. It’s fine," she said.

Despite the strained ties, the senator said she continues to care for her brother and hopes he prioritizes his health.

She also shared that she remains close to their mother and visits her during special family occasions, including their parents’ wedding anniversary every May 1.
