The closest, clean and well-kept sandy beach for Klang Valley folks is located at the Sepang Gold Coast in the state of Selangor. It is always crowded during weekends and school holidays as people come here for picnics, camping, enjoying the ocean breeze or seafood hunting at the restaurants along the beach whilst watching the cool sunset.
Even though the a clean stretch of beach at Bagan Lalang but the sea is pretty far out at low tide. It has minimum pollution and is applauded to be a primary green environment. This fishing village near KLIA is home to a variety of wildlife and birds, as it is also known as Camar Laut. The Fisheries Development Authority of Malaysia (LKIM) has set up a tiger shrimps hatchery. Now, it developed the complex as a training and holiday resort in line with the Federal & State Government's desire to develop the agro-tourism industry.
Just an hour away from Putrajaya, we can drive to Senandung Malam Seafood, an outdoor restaurant at Bagan Lalang that serves an array of freshly caught seafood. We can select our own seafood, from fish, squids, prawns, and cockles to several varieties of clams, and get the chefs to cook or grill it the way we like it. We can request to grill it ourselves.
Senandung Malam Seafood is fast becoming a favourite spot for family outing activities. Its surrounding overlook stretches of dragon fruit plantations, palm trees and the blue coastal water Straits of Malacca. We can take this opportunity to educate our children and grandchildren through a deeper understanding of ways to protect the beautiful greenery landscapes and our ocean ecosystem and environmental threat. We hope that this awareness for the young ones will continue to set an example to those who enjoy good seafood spread nearby the blue beaches not to litter around and to reduce the use of plastics. This effort can create a harmonious healthy living environment.
