
JOHOR BARU: Ahmad Hamdan Ramli, a member of the Senario sketch comedy troupe, died at Sultanah Aminah Hospital here at about 12.50pm today. He was 54.
He had been hospitalised for kidney complications.
His death was confirmed by group member Azlee Jaafar, who said Hamdan’s body will be brought to Ipoh, Perak, for burial.
Hamdan leaves his wife, Norhamalini Ahmed, 53, and their four children – Zeyreen Misha, 31, Nazreen Aiman, 28, Syazreen Haqem, 25, and Nur Natasya Umairah, 21.

Read more On Monday, the Senario group had asked their fans to pray for Hamdan following his hospitalisation.
Hamdan had been scheduled to join Senario for their New Year’s show at a hotel here on Dec 31, but the show was forced to go on without him.
Communications minister Fahmi Fadzil expressed his condolences to Hamdan’s family.
“Today we received extremely sad news. We all grew up with Senario’s comedy. Condolences to the family of Hamdan Ramli, an actor and comedian who passed away just now,” he wrote on Facebook.
Senario was well-known for their titular show, which aired on TV3 from June 1996 to 2013.
