MANILA, Philippines — Two members of the group of Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano are being wooed to join the Gatchalian bloc, Sen. Erwin Tulfo said on Monday.
The senator said the "friendly negotiations" are ongoing to encourage their colleagues to support Senate President Pro Tempore Win Gatchalian.
"Aside from Sen. Joel [Villanueva], may dalawa pa isang lalaki, isang babae ang mahihikayat (there's two more - a male and a female [colleague] who can be enticed [to join us]," Tulfo said.
Villanueva on Sunday said he will attend the special session called by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Tulfo said some members of the majority had dinner with their possible "recruits" in order to discuss things.
"Pero wala pa ngang malinaw na resulta sa pag-uusap (But there's no definite results yet from these negotiations)," he said in a radio interview.
